Jeffrey (Jeff) Powell

Jeff went to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he graduated in 1991 in Accounting, with honors. He served on various student organizations including the prestigious Student Conduct Judicial Board, Interfraternity Council Judicial Board, and many other organizations and honor societies. He was also active in his fraternity where he served such roles as Treasurer, Rush Chairman, and Chaplain.

Jeff chose to attend Emory University due to its national reputation. Before law school, he worked at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. While in law school, he received the prestigious American Jurisprudence Award for his studies in Constitutional Law and completed Emory’s nationally recognized NITA Trial Techniques program.

Jeff has practiced law for 28 years and has successfully handled virtually every type of case. He brings a level of sophistication and expertise to his work while also never forgetting that the matters he handles can be life changing to his clients. He is approachable to his clients and goes the extra mile to help them navigate the legal “minefields” that they encounter.

Jeff currently lives in Dunwoody, Georgia. When not working, you can find him enjoying the outdoors, playing tennis, supporting the local high school, cheering on his beloved Vols, or traveling. He is a member of Dunwoody United Methodist Church and a committee member for Perimeter North - Young Life. He was the founding President of the Dunwoody Tip-Off Club, the non-profit that supports Dunwoody High School boys basketball and is currently a sponsor for the Dunwoody High School girls varsity tennis team.
